Spreadsheet links not updating
What I found to be the problem was the formula and the fact that I surrounded numbers with quotes.
That probably turned the cell into a text format cell, even though technically the cell was still a number and listed as one under the formats.
I stripped the quotes and the cells calculated as normal.
In my instance I was using a particular add-in called PI Datalink.
Copy the contents of the spreadsheet to a new one, and deleted the old one (it wasn't a particularly important spreadsheet, thankfully), and everything was fine.
I can only assume that somehow the file had become corrupted.
Visit Stack Exchange I set calculation mode to automatic but when I enter "=Now()" inside a cell I do not see the time updating even when formatting is changed to show seconds. Changing a formatting is not an event that needs a recalculation, so that is not enough; but for example typing anything in any cell I think I found the culprit.
Visit Stack Exchange is pressed or when the cells are clicked out of.
Is there a way to update the original Excel sheets from within One Note? When you put the table in there it will basically open a separate excel document and once you save it will close the document, update cells, and insert cells.
On One Note PC Desktop app, I would like to embed an Excel file that once edited by One Note opening it in Excel, it saved my changes to the original file. What happens after I embed an Excel file and try to open it to edit it from One Note, it opens a copy in the Windows Temp directory (appends a number to the filename) and after I edit and save it in Excel, it updates the embedded One Note copy of the file but not the original file that was initially embedded.
Somehow PI's Calculate method was no longer running during the normal workbook recalculate.
In Settings I had to change Automatic Update command to Full Calculate and then back again.
