It is important to recognize that the copyright laws have changed and that for non-US sources, especially after the USA joining the Berne Convention on March 1, 1989, copyright registration in not necessary for enforcement of a copyright notice. The copyright of the year when the book was printed is valid in all next years. However "the year when website was created" is a bit different.

If your site is protected by copyright, you must renew this feature every year.
So everyone will see that you maintain the site in order. You should do this with the help of a special automated algorithm.
Type .htaccess as the file name and from the Save as type dropdown menu, select All Files.
Hence, when updating the site, you may want to update the copyright year.
The New Year is here and time to start thinking about updates and changes to your website.
Click Save, then go back and make sure the editor didn't add an extension to the filename after .htaccess. Upload the .htaccess file to the root directory of your website.
